Our story

Carolina Field & Pasture Co. did not begin with a business plan. It began with a piece of land.

In 2012, what would become our family's first horse farm in Ludowici, Georgia, was little more than a newly built home on five acres of freshly cleared ground. The trees were gone, the topsoil had been pushed aside, and what remained was a blank canvas that would challenge everything we thought we knew about caring for land.

Building a horse farm from the ground up meant learning that healthy land does not happen by accident. Pastures had to be established. Soil had to be restored. Fences had to be built. Drainage had to be understood. Every decision mattered because every decision affected the health of the property for years to come.

Those lessons did not come from a classroom. They came from living them.

Long before that first farm, a love for the land had already taken root while growing up around horses on a family boarding farm in South Carolina. Years later, military service reinforced another lesson: lasting success comes from thoughtful preparation, disciplined execution, and always pursuing what is right rather than what is routine.

Over time, those experiences formed a simple belief.
